NCA joins the launch of FloodAction Coalition

On 3rd November, Digby Sowerby (Environmental Farmers Group Managing Director) and Christopher Sparrow (Natural Capital Advisory Managing Director), had the opportunity to attend the FloodAction Coalition launch event.

Led by The Conduit and chaired by Aviva, FloodAction Coalition brings together insurers, landowners, asset owners, and investors to mobilise a £1bn resilience market by 2028. Positioning water resilience as a new asset class, the ambition is to reduce flood and drought risk, store carbon, cut pollution, and revitalise ecosystems by using more Natural Flood Management solutions such as restoring wetlands, peatlands, woodlands, and riverscapes.

The coalition aims to create lasting benefits for the economy and communities by bringing together buyers and sellers in the natural capital market to help reduce flood and drought risk.
