Trading Activity
An active month across the central south for Environmental Farmers Group projects. NCA completed three phosphate trades in the Hampshire Avon, with a further two trades instructed. Active enquiries this month span phosphate mitigation in the River Avon SAC, nitrate neutrality in the Solent catchment, and off-site biodiversity net gain in the New Forest.
Available Inventory
Phosphate Credits — River Avon SAC
- 1,113kg of phosphate credits available in the Lower Avon, covering Fordingbridge, Ringwood, Christchurch and Highcliffe-on-Sea – suitable for residential and commercial developments requiring nutrient mitigation for planning in the River Avon SAC.
- Further temporary and permanent phosphate credits available in the Nadder Valley and Lower Avon, including Salisbury.
Nitrate Credits — Solent and Poole Harbour
- Over 3,000kg of temporary nitrate credits in development, suitable for planning conditions requiring nitrate mitigation across the Solent and Poole Harbour catchments.
Biodiversity Net Gain — Wiltshire
- Two new off-site BNG habitat banks expected to be registered within the next two months, generating over 400 Biodiversity Units in Wiltshire, suitable for strategic developers, NSIPs and utility companies.
Carbon Credits — Voluntary Market
- 10,800 tCO2e available for corporate buyers seeking verified, UK farm-based carbon credits for net zero and supply chain commitments
